Beer Mug Card

I made this card for my Father In Law's Birthday, and I know he is going to love it since beer is one of his favorite things.

I think this is one of the coolest cards I have ever made, and also one of the easiest! I got the SVG cutting file for free from Bird's Cards, and cut it out with my Brother Scan N Cut. I used some really awesome shimmery metallic paper for 3 of the 4 layers, and a dark brown paper for the "beer". To finish it off, I stamped "happy birthday" on the inside using the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's "Party Animal". I also cut out the word "cheers" with my Cuttlebug using a Lawn Fawn "scripty" word die.

Cheers!

Gumball Machine Shaker Card

I made this shaker card to thank my friend April for being my Maid of Honor at my wedding last month. I stamped out the gumball machine from Lawn Fawn's "Sweet Smiles", colored it with my Copics, and cut out the middle of it with a craft knife. I used my fuse tool to create a shaker pocket from a page protector, and I filled it with a multi colored sequins as my "gumballs". I also die cut the gumball machine from a piece of orange cardstock, and then used some PPA matte adhesive to inlay the gumball machine die on top of my shaker pocket. I stamped the "thanks" sentiment from Lawn Fawn's "Big Scripty Words", and then die cut it with the coordinating die. I also used a Lawn Fawn banner die to cut out the "You're So Sweet" sentiment which is also from the "Sweet Smiles" stamp set. Then, I finished it off with some of my favorite Doodlebug washi tape.

I really like the way it turned out, and I really hope she likes it too!!

Owl Always Love You Shaker Card

I really need to start posting more on my blog, but with my wedding just a month away I am extremely busy! Somehow I managed to find the time to make a very special card & gift for my Mom for Mother's Day. I created an awesome shaker card with the Mom + Me stamp set from Lawn Fawn's most recent release. I colored the critters with my Copic markers, and added iridescent hearts & stars to the shaker I made with fun foam.
Red is her favorite color...can ya tell?! LOL

I've never entered one of my cards into a challenge before, and I sure hope I did everything correct!

Sunday, March 6, 2016 is Mother's Day in the UK. Since my soon to be husband is British, we have designated this day for my future Mother in Law. So, I'm working on a very special card for her, and I started by using liquid watercolor mixed with some perfect pearls to paint the beautiful flowers & butterflies from Lawn Fawn's Flutter By. As you probably know, photos never do justice to anything covered in perfect pearls (or wink of stella), but take my word for it...they are gorgeous!!

Next step is to die cut these beauties, and then I can start assembling the card.

I'm also working on another awesome DIY to give her for Mother's Day. It's a 3D project, and totally appropriate since we all know how much the British love their tea.

I'll be sharing both of these completed projects soon so stay tuned!

UPDATE: Pictures of the finished card & tea box I gave to my (soon to be) Mother in Law for British Mother's Day...

Holiday Cards - Lawn Fawn

I can't believe it's almost February and I'm just now getting the chance to post this...finally! I created these holiday cards (to send to friends & family) using Lawn Fawn stamps, dies & paper. I stamped the images with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored them with Copic markers.
